Trams, trains, BRTs and plain old buses

If the Polish city of Krakow can have a tram this good, why can’t we in India? After all, we are a space age player, launching our own rockets and satellites. By contrast, Poland is a small European country that is less prosperous than its Western neighbours.

Kolkata has a functional tramway system, but ancient trams. Perhaps we could upgrade the trams to retain the charm and yet improve comfort and service?

By the way, Pune now has a new Bus Rapid Transit System, which is again an advance. The buses on the Rainbow BRT, however, are still in need of a tech upgrade, since they are just plain old buses in their comfort levels.
